After reviewing the Stiletto Titanium Retrofit Hammer and the Stiletto Fiberglass Handled Hammer, new models always pique our interest. This week, Milwaukee Tool announced the new Stiletto TiBone 3 titanium hammer.
Stiletto TiBone 3 Hammer Details
As far as we can tell, the only differences are the new anti-rotation face and a redesigned magnetic peg set. The new Stiletto TiBone 3 hammer face should prevent removable milled or smooth faces from shifting or loosening. The new nail set includes a stronger magnet to hold nails in place more firmly than before. Stiletto wants you to be able to actually hammer in a nail without worrying about the nail falling out of the dent.

Like the TiBone 2, the new Stilleto TiBone 3 titanium hammer features a durable overmold that provides grip while reducing vibration. Milwaukee Tool is currently only offering new models with curved handle designs.

The TiBone 3 hammer features titanium construction for low recoil and lighter weight than comparable steel hammers. In fact, these hammers weigh 45 percent less than steel hammers and deliver the same impact as a 28-ounce framing machine.
The new Stiletto Curved Handle TiBone 3 Titanium Hammers are available in milled and smooth surfaces from select dealers.

what to expect
We think these new Stiletto frames solve some of the issues that plagued the TiBone 2. The design suggests that the pegs should be more securely attached to the magnetic mount, the grip should be maintained for a long time, and the clubface should not loosen itself prematurely. All of these are excellent improvements. If you think framing hammers are too expensive – you probably haven't used Stiletto's titanium hammers. These may not be for the casual user, but once you've been wielding a titanium hammer day in and day out, it's hard to go back to steel.
