Let the Ryobi Cordless Floor Saw Simplify Your Floor Jobs
A few months ago, I took on the difficult task of replacing the worn out laminate flooring in my home. Overall everything is going great, but the biggest problem is the table saw that moves up and down to the front porch. The Ryobi One+ 18V Cordless Floor Saw aims to eliminate this headache.
Ryobi's cordless floor saw cuts LVT and LVP (luxury vinyl tile/plank), laminate and hardwood floors with ease.
The saw makes crossing, miter and rip cuts in floors a breeze. Its ability to make multiple cuts makes it a great value, especially if you're dealing with something like a door frame that may require multiple cuts.
The 5 1/2 thin-kerf blade cuts 3/4" deep at 6500 RPM, so even hardwoods should have no problem.
gap
When ripping wood or vinyl planks, the saw locks into place, allowing you to use it as a kind of upside-down table saw. You simply lean the wood against the included fence.

Rip fences take a little getting used to and are a little jittery. First, loosen and slide the thumbscrew to the measurement you're looking for. This screw has multiple holes, you may need to use a different one to get the fence mounted where you need it. From there, two sets of measurements help you ensure the fence is square. Tighten the screws when you're set, and you're ready to go.
miter cut
The saw has a 15" crosscutting capability and up to 10" for 45° miter cuts. To make these cuts, the saw acts more like a miter saw, with the ability to lock in angles and slide while the material stays in place.
To set the miter angle, you need to loosen the thumbscrew on the miter fence and align it with the angle indicator marked on the table. It pivots in much the same way that a miter gauge on a chop saw works. Once the screws are tightened, you can start cutting.

it's wireless
The fact that it runs off a single Ryobi 18V battery means you don't have to find a power outlet to get to work, and sets it apart from other floor saw options. With the 9.0Ah battery, Ryobi says you can get up to 240 linear feet of cutting distance when using the 9Ah battery. For most jobs, you can cycle both batteries for 1 or 2 crews to run continuously.

Ryobi One+ 18V Cordless Floor Saw Design Instructions
Right from the start, the saw is the perfect size and weight to bring to your job site. Even moving it around the room is effortless. Barely, it weighs about 15 pounds, and the handle is in the perfect place.

The Ryobi Cordless Floor Saw also makes cleaning easier. It has its own dust bag to get you started, and we recommend connecting a vacuum to pick up more dust and debris for a cleaner workspace.
There are no damaged feet on the bottom of the saw. While we know we are not at risk of leaving marks on freshly installed floors, some of them have developed a bad habit of falling. Keep an eye on them, and consider adding a drop of glue to hold them in place if needed.
Additional features
- Thin cut 5 1/2" floor blade included
- Dust port compatible with 1 1/4" vacuum fittings
- Onboard storage for saw accessories

the bottom line
Finally, the Ryobi 18V One+ Cordless Floor Saw really helps. The tweaks take some getting used to at first if you're not used to this type of tool, but that's true even for the corded model. It's the cordless advantage that really shines, along with the convenience that other models don't.
