Ryobi tweaks cleaning chores differently
Brushes are a must for cleaning, but what if there was another way? Or better yet, wirelessly? Getting the Ryobi Cordless Electric Scrubber might be the answer you're looking for. Heck, it might be the answer even if you weren't looking for it.
For 18V One+ battery systems, there are three main power scrubber models you need to know. Each one serves a specific need, so you may want to get more than one.
The good thing is that in addition to using the same battery, they also use the same heads, so you can easily swap them out depending on your needs at the time. It's an easy fit – just match the brush to the interface and turn it to lock it in place.

Also note that all of these scrubbers have sealed battery compartments. Water and electricity don't mix, but water and cleaning do. With an IPX7 rating, you can clean without worrying about power.
Finally, each has a locking switch, making it easier to focus on cleaning than holding down the trigger.
Ryobi 18V Cordless Handheld Power Scrubber

Starting with the smallest model, Ryobi has introduced a handheld version, perfect for cleaning while staying at an arm's length. The head spins your brush at 210 RPM, and it develops impressive torque when you tilt it to help the bristles clear buildup.
While there are many different applications for this model, I use it most often to clean coolers and cutting boards after fishing trips.
The bare-bones Ryobi P4510 starts at $69.00, with plenty of kit and combo options to choose from.

Ryobi 18V Cordless Retractable Power Scrubber

Ryobi has expanded on this concept by adding a telescoping handle and swivel head to create a power scrubber with greater reach. Adding a front handle helps with control and puts some pressure on the head in stubborn areas.
To adjust the length of the shaft, you simply loosen the collar above the front handle, extend or retract it to your desired length, then tighten the collar down. Release it by pressing the button on the side and the head will spin. When you find the angle you want to use, move the head slightly until the brake snaps back into place and locks.
And thanks to its range of lengths up to 51 inches, it's perfect for high and low cleaning. Most people should be able to reach 9 feet without difficulty. Some tasks are obvious, like cleaning the exterior of your home, boat, or RV. Still, think outside the box with the different heads available. For us, this model is a rock star when it comes to bathroom tile and grout.
Like its smaller sibling, the telescoping model is available as a bare-bones unit or as a kit, plus a range of combination options.

Ryobi 18V Cordless Soap Dispensing Power Scrubber

The most well-rounded power scrubber starts with the base telescoping model, making it more robust, adding a garden hose connection, and adding an on-board soap dispenser. A dial on the side gives you options for soap + water, water only, and both off. Positionable spout on top handles liquids.
Harsh chemicals like bleach are out, but glass cleaners, car wash soaps, and other mild chemicals still work. This makes the Ryobi PCL1701B the most versatile choice for cleaning the exterior of homes and vehicles.

the bottom line
Think about the number of times you clean with a brush in your hand. Whether it's a handheld brush or a stick brush, there's a Ryobi cordless motorized brush to replace it. Thanks to the wide range of replaceable brush heads, they really can cover pretty much any brush you own, and they do it really well. Just not your toothbrush or hairbrush. Ryobi hasn't replaced those…yet.
