Give your hands a break and let Ryobi take the pain out of caulk application
Caulking is part of the job (especially one electrician we know). Manual caulking guns can be a hassle when using tougher sealants like OSI Quad Max. So why not take the brunt of the Ryobi 18V Cordless Caulk Gun (PCL901)? We tried it on our weary hands to see if it was worth the money.

- 500 pounds of thrust
- variable speed dial
- Anti-Drip Technology
- Over 200 tubes on a single 2.0Ah battery
The PCL901B is Ryobi's second generation cordless caulk gun for 18V One+ systems. Like the first model (P310G), this one is capable of 500 pounds of thrust. While other brands like Ridgid (750 lbs) and Milwaukee (950 lbs) have more force, you can still dispense higher viscosity sealants. It will only be a bit slower than those pricier models.
There is a variable speed dial to adjust the discharge rate and control the beads. On older P310G models, the variable speed dial was on the side of the tool, and there was just a gauge-style control with no numbers. The Ryobi PCL901B has a digital shift dial that faces you while you're using it, giving you a better idea of the setting for each sealant. You can adjust it on the fly if needed without having to stop traffic first.

When you release the trigger, the plunger backs off slightly, helping you avoid annoying drips that require extra cleaning.
Speaking of runtime, expect over 200 tubes of caulk to pass on a full 2.0Ah battery. Considering how much you can get out of a compact battery, you don't need the weight of a 4.0Ah or higher battery.
Ryobi 18V Cordless Caulk and Glue Gun Design Instructions

- Swivel and detachable tube holder
- airborne puncture tool
- Rubber overmolded grip
- Switch lock to prevent accidental activation during transport or storage
In addition to speed dial changes, there is also a switch with a swivel bracket design. When you use a beveled opening at the nozzle, you can easily adjust the angle to hit corners or move from horizontal to vertical applications.

Another upgrade on this model is the ability to remove the bracket that holds the adhesive tube. Simply hold the collar and turn the bracket to remove it for cleaning.

Despite its looks, the tool weighs a very reasonable amount. It weighs 3.2 lbs bare metal and 4.2 lbs with the 1.5Ah battery. Add another 15 oz or so for a full tube of adhesive and you have a working weight of 5.1 lbs.
Ryobi 18V Cordless Caulk Glue Gun Prices
