Ridgid Max Output Battery and Technology

Posted on April 24, 2023 by

Maximum Output Battery Improves Power, Runtime and Warranty

Ridgid is releasing a brand new 18V max output brushless tool. In addition to these tools is their brand new 18V max output battery system. These batteries offer a new level of performance and promise higher power and run time for all Ridgid brushless tools.

Max Output Batteries are the most powerful and longest running batteries Ridgid has released to date. The advanced electronics in these battery packs allow users to easily complete the most demanding tasks on the jobsite. They are available in 2, 4, 6 and 8Ah sizes. The 8Ah battery pack even uses new 21700 cells for a massive boost in output and power.

When paired with their Max Output brushless tools, the battery performs an "electronic handshake" that, according to Ridgid, results in a tool/battery combo that yields 20% more performance than a standard battery. Ridgid told us that these batteries also perform better on any of the Ridgid 18V brushless power tools.

We'll need to go through the first few rounds of testing and evaluation before we know how much of a boost you can expect – but so far it looks promising.

Ridgid uses special cooling technology to extend battery life under extreme usage. Having said that, they still managed to keep these batteries fairly light and compact.

The front of the battery pack continues to feature a 4-LED fuel gauge that shows the remaining charge. However, it is now more prominent and visible.

As always, these batteries will be 100% backwards compatible with all Ridgid tools and chargers – past, present and future.

Ridgid Max Outputs battery now has a maximum output guarantee

Now as if that wasn't enough – Ridgid is extending their lifetime service agreement to all of their batteries and chargers – including max output and their standard 18V battery packs. Just sign up online and you'll get free batteries, free parts and free service for life. Ridgid's Lifetime Service Agreement has always been a hard-to-break deal, and now they've got you covered no matter what job comes your way.
