Milwaukee M18 FUEL Random Orbital Polisher – 15mm and 21mm

Posted on May 2, 2023 by

The Milwaukee M18 FUEL 15mm & 21mm Random Orbital Polisher Delivers Power, Uptime, and Ergonomics for Professional Groomers

Milwaukee Tool now has two full size M18 FUEL Random Orbital Polishers in 15mm and 21mm configurations, enough for polishing and heavy correction applications. They see both polishers as genuine alternatives to corded tools. The M18 FUEL 15mm and 21mm Random Orbital Polishers clearly focus on power and ergonomics – two features that are vital to the car detailer.

Ergonomics really play a huge role with these tools, as detailers may spend hours each day holding a polisher. The Milwaukee M18 FUEL 15mm and 21mm Random Orbital Polishers look well balanced with nicely designed front and rear handles. Milwaukee Tool also claims low vibration and noise.

The backplate on each tool is engineered to stay cool even under heavy use throughout the day. This helps minimize the risk of surface or paint damage due to heat buildup. Milwaukee also rotates the battery 90 degrees to allow 2 inches of clearance between the tool and the work surface. This will help prevent you from accidentally knocking the battery into the vehicle while polishing. Getting rid of wires is a good thing – but no one wants to replace one problem with another.

Variable speed with 8-position dial

Both polishers are designed with variable speed triggers and 8-position speed dials. Between it and the lock button, you have a ton of control with these polishers in a variety of applications, from removing scratches to getting the job done.

The Milwaukee M18 FUEL 15mm Random Orbital Polisher runs between 2,650 and 5,100 RPM, while the 21mm model runs between 2,400 and 4,500 RPM.

Milwaukee Tool says that when paired with the high-output XC6.0 M18 RedLithium battery, you can expect up to 53 minutes of polishing or up to 20 minutes of heavy use when removing scratches. Pairing these tools with the XC6.0 provides better balance and material clearance than with a larger battery pack, though you'll get more run time with a larger battery.
