Metabo HPT Offers Zero Ignition Delay Cordless Positive Place Nailer
Metabo HPT have done a fantastic job with their cordless framing nailers. Complementing this with the Metabo MPT 36V Cordless Metal Connector Nailer to further eliminate the need for hoses and compressors is a lot of love from our team.
One of the interesting things about metal connector nailers (aka upright nailers) is that they don't require the same power levels as framing nailers. Capped with only 2 1/2-inch and larger .162-inch diameter nails, these nailers focus on precision when you're installing joist hangers and metal connectors.

What's great about the Metabo HPT's Cordless Upright Nailer is that its brushless motor drives those nails with no firing delay. Its air spring system eliminates the need for a flywheel system that requires acceleration time.
When you're ready to drive your first nail, there are a few safety checks to do. The starter handle has a mechanical trigger lock on the side. You also need to press a power button to activate the tool.
It's no surprise that the nail gun only has a sequential fire mode. Bump firing is simply not practical for what this tool was designed for. You can shoot about 2 nails per second if you really want to, though.
When it comes to runtime, there's a lot of work to be done. A single 2.5Ah MultiVolt battery is good for up to 900 nail shots at maximum, and the tool is rated to fire while charging. If you're tight on cash, the nailer works with the Metabo HPT's MultiVolt AC Adapter.
size and weight
Metal connector nailers have to work overhead a lot, so it's no surprise to find a compact magazine on this nailer. Like other cordless nailers used in the framing process, it is heavier than a pneumatic nailer. The bare metal weighs 9.1 pounds, and the 2.5Ah MultiVolt battery weighs 10.6 pounds.

Strap-Tite Probe Tips
Every positive placement nailer needs some form of precision tip. Metabo HPT designed this so you can place the tip into the connector hole and shoot the nail through underneath. Detached by a mechanism above and below the nail to let the head pass through, it's as easy to place as you want it to be.

Additional features

the bottom line
Currently, there are few options in the field of cordless cathode placement. Even so, Metabo HPT have set a standard with their 36V model that anyone else with competitive ambitions will have to work really hard to beat. If you're ready to ditch the hose and compressor, Metabo HPT's Cordless Metal Connector Nailer is the way to go.
