Keep Your Food and Drinks at the Right Temperature with the Makita Cooler/Warmer

After hours of hard work in the hot sun, there's nothing better than a cold drink. Whether you're in the market for a jobsite cooler or want to keep your brisket warm while taking it off your smoker, the Makita 18V X2 LXT Cooler and Warmer has you covered.

Using electricity rather than direct insulation to maintain temperature, the Makita DCW180 is a compressor-style cooler that can operate in cooling or heating mode with six temperature settings.

  • Cool Mode Temperatures: 15°F, 30°F, 40°F, 50°F
  • Heat Mode Temperatures: 130°F, 140°F

Additionally, there are multiple ways to power the cooler. While it runs on Makita 18V LXT batteries (sold separately), you can choose to run on one or two batteries depending on your running needs. You also have the option to power it from a 12V or 24V DC power cord in your vehicle, or 120 AC from a standard outlet.

With its 20 liter capacity, the Makita 18V X2 LXT Freezer and Warmer can store your food, drinks, ice packs and even the aforementioned brisket. It is capable of running for up to 17 hours at 40°F on two 6.0Ah batteries, or 5 hours at 0°F. In terms of heat, you need 4 hours to lock the temperature at 140°F.

The cooler/heater also has an LED display that allows you to track the temperature and battery level.

Additional features

  • Integrated corkscrew
  • Built-in USB charging port
  • wheels for transport
  • Side handles and shoulder strap for easy carrying
  • Wear-resistant and waterproof design

The Makita DCW180 retails for $629 with the necessary power cords for both AC and DC use. There's no kit option with batteries, though. It comes with a 3-year limited warranty.
