Kobalt 40V Cordless Power Cleaner KPC 2040-06

Posted on April 23, 2023 by

Kobalt's 40V Cordless Power Cleaner Makes Light Cleaning Projects a Breeze

Tired of lugging your pressure washer around for a job that really just requires more muscle than a hose to pull? With a higher pressure than most vacuums, the Kobalt 40V Cordless Power Vacuum has a lot of uses in your home and on the go.

cleaning power

Kobalt's Power Cleaner boasts an impressive 600 PSI – 50 PSI more than the DeWalt 20V Max Power Cleaner! In fact, we've only ever seen one electric vacuum achieve a higher pressure rating.

The maximum flow rate is slightly lower than some, up to 0.8 GPM. Best of all, this model will remove more gunk than most of the competition, but some wash and rinse it off better than others.

No matter which model you choose, electric vacuums are nowhere near as powerful as pressure washers. These usually start around 1500 PSI and run 4000+ on top. If you're looking to replace a lightweight, portable pressure washer, nothing in this class can do it.

nozzle

The Kobalt has a versatile 5-in-1 nozzle that can clean a variety of surfaces and materials. That's more than most. You get settings for 0°, 15°, 25°, 40° and flush. There is also a soap bottle attachment. The only downside is the lack of a turbo nozzle to capture more area at 0° max pressure.

at home or on the go

This cleaner can be used to supply the sprayer with a regular garden hose or a 20-foot siphon hose. Everything you need to use is in the box.

Using a garden hose is great because you have an almost unlimited supply. However, what really makes a tool like the Kobalt 40V Cordless Electric Vacuum so versatile is the siphon hose. Whether you're using a bucket, swimming pool, or lake, any source of fresh water is fair game and opens up tons of possibilities.

Kobalt 40V Cordless Power Cleaner Design Notes

energy source

Kobalt's electric cleaners use any Kobalt 40V battery and are a great addition to their 40V line of lawn care equipment. We're a bit sad there isn't an option on the 24V platform, but it's on our wish list.

easy to store

Another advantage of this electric vacuum cleaner is that it is very space-saving. When the job is done, simply remove the wand and put it away until next time. You can easily put everything in the bucket.

Waterproof battery compartment

Kobalt electric cleaners have a waterproof battery compartment that clips on for extra protection. It's very similar to what we've seen on other models, but the added clip gives us a little peace of mind about the hydro separation.

Kobalt 40V Cordless Power Cleaner Price

You'll find the Kobalt Cordless Power Cleaner with 40V 2Ah Battery and Charger for $149.00. If you're already using a Kobalt 40V platform, there's a $99.00 bare metal option. One thing to note is that both options include accessories.

the bottom line

The Kobalt 40V Cordless Electric Vacuum Cleaner is top notch when it comes to pressure, the only real question is what are you going to do with it? If you're not sure, we have some suggestions to get you started:

  • bike
  • Boat
  • car
