Post Discharge Solutions for Professionals

The John Deere Fastback PRO mower decks expand the brand's line of commercial mowers with decks that give you a back row solution. This design and venting scheme reduces the chance of damaging nearby objects. And, users get a cleaner mowing experience because the deck design minimizes debris blown onto the operator. The rear discharge setup also allows you to mow closer to stationary objects on either side of the deck for greater efficiency.

How does the John Deere Fastback PRO manage all of this? They reinforce the deep deck while surrounding the blade's baffle system. This reduces clumping and build-up while exiting the clippings backwards. They're lowered at the back and, along with the flexible rear guard, keep pop-up clippings low. This minimizes the chance of launching debris into unwanted areas.

Obtain a uniform cutting height

The John Deere Fastback PRO hangs from and is supported by the mower for level cutting. It includes wheels and rollers to help you cut smoothly over uneven terrain, reducing the chance of stripping your lawn.

You can also adjust the wheels and scroll wheels to a high or low setting. Higher settings help mow at lower cutting heights or in harsher conditions, while lower settings help smooth cuts at higher cutting height settings. You can adjust the cutting height from 1 to 5.5 inches.

Durable and less downtime

John Deere designed the Fastback PRO with durability, performance and reliability in mind. The blade drive system is driven by a cardan shaft and gets power from the mower's gearbox. It includes a heavy duty right angle cast iron gearbox, V-belt drive system and cast iron blade spindle housing.

John Deere has installed an easily accessible grease fitting on top of these spindles. A grease relief valve minimizes seal damage from overfilling while preventing debris from entering the housing.

John Deere also offers quick release belt covers for Fastback PRO mower decks that don't require tools or ring clips. They reduce maintenance time and give you easy access to individual conveyor belts. You can access the center shaft from the detachable foot platform. With less time and energy spent on downtime, you can spend more time actually mowing the grass.
