HART Opens the Door to a New Level of Performance with 650 CFM Leaf Blower
HART's Phase 1 lawn care equipment meets the needs of homeowners with small to medium sized lawns, with an emphasis on low cost of entry. In its latest phase, the brand has turned its attention to higher performance. We got our hands on a HART 650 CFM Leaf Blower to see how far it can go.
advantage
- Significantly increased blowing force
- Cruise control and variable speed triggers
- Incredibly quiet to run
- Brushless Motor
shortcoming
- No bare tool option (yet)
HART 650 CFM Leaf Blower Performance
Blowing power
HART packs a maximum of 650 CFM and 160 MPH into a package powered by a 40V battery and driven by a brushless motor. These numbers are much higher than what we saw in Phase 1 of the HART lawn care series.

Turning to our dynamometer, we hit 9.7 Newtons at high speed and 16.3 Newtons on turbo using the concentrator nozzle. With the nozzle removed, it pushed the blow up a bit, steady at 9.8 N and the turbo at 17.1 N. Considering last season's 550 CFM blower only hit 14.0 Newtons, this is a big improvement and brings HART to a very relevant level of performance compared to other brands.
noise level
The other side of the coin is that HART designed this blower as part of the Ultra Quiet series. Many of the battery powered blowers we've tested had decibel readings running in the mid-80s to the low 90s, while the HART recorded a high of just 72dB and the turbo's 76dB. These measurements are based on A-weighted, slow response and taken from our operator's ears.
The HART 650 CFM Leaf Blower is surprisingly quiet, even for a battery-operated blower. Only Ryobi's 730 CFM blower comes close to the same level, measuring the exact same level.
run
The kit comes with a 5.0Ah battery, which is what we used for our runtime tests. On high, the blower ran continuously for 20 minutes and 23 seconds. In turbo mode, it's 12 minutes and 5 seconds. That's more than enough for most post-mowing cleanups. When it comes to fencing foliage, it's just a matter of how much area you want to cover.
HART 650 CFM Leaf Blower Feature Highlights

- 6.7 lbs bare, 9.6 lbs with 5.0Ah battery
- Rotary handle provides adjustable angle of attack
- Variable-speed triggers and cruise control help you strike the right balance between performance and runtime

You can pick up a kit with a 5.0Ah battery and fast charger for $258 at Walmart or online. Currently, there is no bare tool option. HART offers a 5-year warranty on the tool and a 3-year warranty on the battery.
the bottom line
The 2022 expansion of HART 40V lawn care equipment is impressive, and the 650 CFM leaf blower raises our expectations for the line. The blower's improved blowing power and incredibly low noise suggest that for HART users who have been holding out for the upgrade, the wait is over.
