What caught our eyes was that Flex's hydraulic lift was breaking out of this vacuum. The CFM is right in the range of what we would expect from a compact vacuum. On the other hand, we typically see water lift values in the 25 to 30 inch range, and the Flex is 40 percent above the upper limit. What this means for you is that you can pick up heavier debris that a similarly sized vacuum might leave behind.
There are two power settings. Most of the time, high is the way to go. Use Low Power Mode when the mess is lighter and you want more battery runtime.
There is also a reverse flow function. If you feel the suction power start to drop, reverse the flow to remove debris from the HEPA filter. It is washable when the filter needs to be thoroughly cleaned.

Even though the title gives it away, it's still worth mentioning that this vacuum has a dry capacity of 1.6 gallons. If you're cleaning up wet messes, it goes down to 0.8 gallons.
Some compact vacuums make storage a bit tricky because you can't store everything onboard. But that's not the case with Flex. Both the hose and nozzle are stored on the vacuum so they are always at hand when you need them.
