Dremel Releases First Smart Rotary Tool
Dremel claims to have revolutionized rotary tools with the 8260, the industry's first tool with intelligent controls. Connect the tool to the Dremel app via Bluetooth pairing, and you'll have precise control over the tool's performance, accessories and material usage directions, and more.
What's the big deal?
The first cordless 12V rotary tool on the market with smart controls, the Dremel 8260 connects to the Dremel app via Bluetooth. From your smartphone or tablet, you can monitor and manage the 2860. You can set tool speed, monitor battery percentage, tool and battery temperature, and receive performance alerts.

Dremel also touted the power and performance behind the 8260. The brushless motor extends tool life and improves performance with 20% more power and 20% faster cuts than the 8220 cordless rotary tool. Dremel claims the 8260 runs twice as long while delivering 5,000 to 30,000 RPM.
Dremel designed this rotary tool to be compatible with the brand's line of accessories and accessories, allowing you to use it for a variety of applications such as cutting, milling, drilling, carving, and more.

Price
The Dremel 8260 Smart Rotary Tool is available in kit form and retails for $169. The kit includes a 3.0Ah 12V battery, charger, grinding wheel and a case. Dremel backs the 8260 with a limited lifetime warranty, which you can find at Home Depot or through the Dremel website.
