Craftsman V20 Brushless RP Impact Driver CMCF813

Posted on April 28, 2023 by

V20 Brushless Impact Driver – Another addition to the Craftsman RP line of tools

Craftsman has released a set of brushless RP tools to help consumers differentiate it from the entry-level brushed line. The Craftsman CMCF813 V20 Brushless RP Impact Driver updates the CMCF810 visually, but otherwise keeps the tooling the same. If you want a solid brushless tool that costs less than the USA made CMCF820, this Craftsman impact driver might be your next choice.

Craftsman V20 RP Impact Driver: A Big Deal

The brushless motor of this impact driver allows it to run longer and with better consistency than brushed impacts. Craftsman claims the CMCF813 has a 30% increase in run time compared to the CMCF800 brushed impact driver. Like the CMCF810, the Craftsman CMCF813 can deliver up to 1,500 in-lbs of torque. That's slightly more than the brushed CMCF800's 1,460 lb-in.

The Craftsman CMCF813 V20 RP Impact Driver seems to be a good choice for tightening screws and lag bolts. It should also do a good job at driving heavy fasteners, such as sorting screws for decking and other similar tasks. With 2,800 RPM and 3,500 IPM, you should be tightening screws fairly quickly.

Worried about changing positions when your hands are occupied? Quick-release collets make changing bits easy with one hand.

Additional features

  • Versatrack compatible (clip and system sold separately)
  • LED work light

price

The Craftsman V20 RP Impact Driver is $99 bare-bones. You can also opt for a $129 kit that includes two 1.5 Ah Li-ion batteries, a charger, and a storage bag. As always, Craftsman backs your purchase with a 3-year limited warranty.

If you want the best impact driver available, Craftsman makes the CMCF820 a higher top speed (2,900 RPM) and torque (1,700 in-lbs). You also get triple LED lights that surround the chuck and eliminate all shadows. If you have that option, we think it's worth the $20 premium.
