overview
Specifically designed for welders, the Revco Industries GB100 BSX is a backpack with a helmet pocket that can be removed from the outside with a quick release hook. The top flap of the bag also has a zippered pouch for documents such as schedules, blueprints and setup sheets.
The Revco Industries GB100 BSX Backpack features ergonomic shoulder straps that curve inward from the shoulders and back at the waist. The sternum strap can be buckled on the inside of curves. The back of the pack is padded and the sides are reinforced so the pack stays square when opened.
The most common issues reported by owners of the Revco Industries GB100 BSX Backpack are the size of the storage space and the fact that it has to be loaded and accessed strictly from the top, which can be inconvenient if you need to get something from the bottom with a full bag. Nine interior pockets, an accessory carabiner, and an insulated lunch cooler will please owners with its durable, 650-denier nylon construction.

overview
The Lincoln Electric Welders All-in-One Backpack is a high-quality backpack made from military-grade nylon with a 1680-denier thread count for durability. It has a rated load capacity of over 50 lbs and has a lot of storage space. With one large compartment inside, the bag has 12 pockets of various sizes to hold tools, pens, equipment, and personal items. The back of the main compartment also has a large padded sleeve that can accommodate a 17″ laptop.
While various sellers on the internet claim that the Lincoln Electric Welders All-in-One Backpack is made of ballistic nylon, we couldn’t find anything on the Lincoln website or elsewhere to substantiate this claim. 1680 Denier is a military-grade fabric, but that doesn’t make it bulletproof. That does mean it will take a lot of abuse and resist rips, cuts and punctures.
The Lincoln Electric Welders All-in-One Backpack sometimes gets complaints about its mesh pockets tearing out, but it gets a lot of praise from owners for its padded and lined interior and extremely strong and well-padded shoulder straps .
3. WORKPRO 18″ Welder’s Tool Bag
- 18 inches long, 10.5 inches deep
- 7 outer pockets
- 600 denier nylon
- hardened floor
- 6 inner pockets
advantage
- Full-length top zip
- sturdy shoulder pads
- rubber bottom
- Reconfigurable handle
- adjustable straps
shortcoming
- Inner pocket is too close to the top
- Can’t fit a helmet inside
overview
The WORKPRO 18 Inch Enclosed Tool Bag is an affordable option for welding school students and anyone who needs to be guided when the job starts. It also works well as a shopping bag or household tool bag. Many car owners report that there is not enough space for a helmet. However, this bag has been praised for its sturdy 600-denier-thread-count nylon construction.
The bag has a full-length zipper that partially wraps around each end of the top opening. The WORKPRO 18″ Closed Tool Bag has 13 pockets, 6 inside and 7 outside. One downside of the inner pockets is that they are sewn all the way to the top of the bag, so if you have tools, like a wrench protruding from the top, you won’t be able to zip it up.
The WORKPRO 18″ Closed Tool Bag features durable, adjustable shoulder straps and large, comfortable shoulder pads. The top handle is paired with a wraparound fastener to create a sturdy handle for lifting the pack when it is full.
4. Lincoln Electric Industrial Welding Kit
- 1680 denier nylon
- Large 12x12x24 inches
- 3 large outer pockets
- Heavy Padded Suspenders
- Split handle doubles
advantage
- 4″ carabiner for helmet
- hardened bottom
- heavy duty zipper
- Holds jackets, gloves and gear
- Cut and puncture resistant
shortcoming
- The strap can be torn off
- no internal pockets
overview
The Lincoln Electric Industrial Duffle Bag is a bulky item for storing your gear. The bag measures 12x12x24 inches, allowing plenty of interior space for your helmet, jacket, casual clothes, and gloves. You can also fit sleeves and an apron when you take into account the two end pockets and the large side pockets. There is a large 4″ carabiner clip that can be used to attach a helmet and make more room inside.
While this bag is rated at 50 lbs and has a hardened bottom, it’s not designed to carry heavy loads. This bag is designed for personal gear. It’s made from industrial grade 1680 denier nylon for excellent cut and puncture resistance. The Lincoln Electric Industrial Duffle Bag has been praised by its owners for its heavy-duty hardware, but some have reported that the straps can tear.
The Lincoln Electric Industrial Duffle Bag has no interior pockets, so it’s not ideal for storing a bunch of gadgets and accessories. With a pocket on each end, a carabiner and a pocket on the side, there’s plenty of room for drinks, food, your phone, and more.
5. Tillman 520 Welder Helmet Bag
- 600 denier nylon
- Two mesh exterior pockets
- 12x12x18 inches
- Velcro front pocket
- Fits any welding helmet
advantage
- sturdy shoulder straps
- Inexpensive
- Accommodates jackets, gloves and helmets
- durable construction
- Thickly padded shoulder straps
shortcoming
- Hard to carry on one shoulder
- not suitable for carrying tools
overview
This bag is made of 600 denier nylon polyester, a strong, durable and cut resistant material. Measuring 12 x 12 x 18 inches, the Tillman 520 Welder Helmet Bag is big enough to fit almost any helmet along with a jacket and gloves. Two mesh pockets on the outside can hold a pair of sleeves or beverage bottles, and the main compartment closes with a thick drawstring.
The Tillman 520 Welder Helmet Bag features a single padded shoulder strap. While owners generally agree that the straps are well-made, a common complaint is that their placement on the bag makes it difficult to carry on one shoulder. The front pocket with Velcro closure is just the right size for your phone, wallet or documents.
There’s a lot of room in this bag and Tillman is known for quality equipment. However, it is not suitable for carrying tools such as grinders, drills, or heavy objects such as welding rods or coils of wire. The Tillman 520 Welder’s Helmet Bag provides an affordable alternative for transporting your welding helmet and other protective gear.
6. Sparc Welding Helmet Bag
- polyester lining
- 12x12x18 inches
- 650 denier nylon canvas
- 2- Outer mesh bag
- Front pocket with Velcro closure
advantage
- Fits any welding helmet
- Holds helmet, jacket, gloves
- cheap alternative
- drawstring opening
- shoulder strap
shortcoming
- Drawstring quality problem
- only one strap
overview
The Sparc Welding Helmet Bag is different from what we’ve seen so far in that it’s designed primarily with your helmet in mind. This is a roomy bag that can accommodate any type of welding helmet. That leaves room for welding gloves, a welding jacket or apron and sleeves. There are two mesh pockets on the outside. On the front there is a small pocket with Velcro closure for your phone, wallet or keys.
Designed with a roomy, sturdy strap, this helmet bag has gotten mixed reviews from owners. While they feel that the Sparc Welding Helmet Bag is well made and durable, quite a few feel that there should be two straps. It’s really a personal preference. From a quality standpoint, the drawstring closure on the main compartment is problematic, with more than one owner reporting that the drawstring on their bag snapped.
The Sparc Welding Helmet Bag is an inexpensive and roomy alternative to the pricier bags in this review, but it’s not designed to carry tools, welding rods, or other heavy items.
