Exmark 2022 Radius X-Series features major power upgrades and other bonuses

The 2022 Exmark Radius X-Series zero-turn mowers are aimed at professional and commercial lawn caregivers and include many new features. We dig deeper to discover what's new for the 2022 model and how they affect lawn care professionals.

The X-Series Radius update has a lot of noteworthy new features. The main talking point is bigger, more powerful engines. The mower is powered by a 31HP Kawasaki twin-cylinder engine, which Exmark says makes it the most powerful Radius model yet. By comparison, the 2021 model comes with a 23.5-horsepower engine, so a 32 percent power boost is impressive.

There has also been an update to the depth of cut for 60-inch decks. The E-Series and S-Series models include a 5-inch deck depth, while the Radius X-Series has an even larger 5.5-inch deck depth. The extra 1/2-inch gain and higher-powered motor let you mow heavier grass at a faster pace.

Speaking of speed, the Radius X-Series has a variable ground speed of up to 10 MPH, compared to the 9 MPH top speed of the E-Series and S-Series.

Another new upgrade to the Radius X-Series is the inclusion of Exmark's premium full-suspension operator seat. You can adjust the seat to your body size and ride quality preferences. Exmark tells us that the seat's design also helps reduce vibration through the elastomeric vibration control foam base.

Delving into performance features, the 2022 model features Exmark's Flow Control Baffle technology for improved cut quality. Plus, Lazer Z-style deck post insulation eliminates sway, simplifies deck height adjustments, and reduces vibration.

Additional features

  • Side discharge design
  • Larger 24" Kenda drive tires and front casters
  • Heavy-duty one-piece steel frame
  • Improve balance by installing heavier components on the mower base
  • Maintenance-free sealed bearing blade shaft
  • digital timer
  • Window Fuel Gauge
  • Integrated hitch and jack receiver (jack sold separately)
